President
Nick Hanssmann joined HybriGenix in 2012 and has succeeded in various roles including Sales Engineer, Product Manager, Director of Operations, and now President. With a passion for mechanical and electrical design, Nick oversees all energy systems and project designs, leads the operations teams, and frequently assumes the role of project manager for large-scale projects. His dedication to team building, quality, and efficiency makes him a highly effective leader, ensuring success for all stakeholders. Nick earned his Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Engineering from the University of British Columbia.
Hossein Shokouhi
Energy Transition, VP
Hossein Shokouhi is the Energy Transition, VP of HybriGenix and has been instrumental in driving the company’s vision and growth. With a strong background in energy solutions and business leadership, Hossein provides strategic direction across all areas of the organization. He oversees corporate development, builds key client relationships, and ensures that HybriGenix remains at the forefront of innovation in energy transition technologies. Hossein’s leadership emphasizes collaboration, accountability, and long term value creation for clients and partners. His commitment to excellence and sustainable practices continues to guide HybriGenix toward achieving its mission of delivering reliable, future ready energy solutions.
Michael Hanssmann
Energy Engineering
Michael is a founding partner of HybriGenix in 2003 with over 35 years of experience in industrial automation and energy markets and is an expert in controls and equipment automation. In 1983, he co-founded Techware Systems, pioneering tool automation in the semiconductor industry. With HybriGenix, he has overseen the delivery of thousands of control solutions across various markets and projects including power plants, energy storage, and transmission test beds. Michael, a Professional Engineer, earned his BS in Electrical Engineering (Controls Specialty) from the University of British Columbia.
Bardia Shokouhi
Sales and Business Development
Bardia is a sales and marketing specialist in the energy sector, combining market strategy expertise with technical knowledge of natural gas and diesel generator systems. He supports HybriGenix by developing client relationships, identifying opportunities, and aligning customer needs with tailored energy solutions.
With experience across natural gas, diesel, and hybrid power systems, Bardia bridges technical insight with commercial strategy to help deliver reliable and sustainable energy solutions. His focus on collaboration and customer service strengthens HybriGenix’s market presence and long-term growth.
Elnaz Dabiran
Finance Controller & People Operations
Elnaz is a finance and operations professional with expertise in accounting, payroll, and organizational management. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, an MBA in Finance, and is a certified Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP).
At HybriGenix, Elnaz supports the company’s growth by overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance, while also managing HR functions such as onboarding, benefits, and policy development. She is dedicated to building efficient systems and transparent processes that ensure both compliance and long-term sustainability.
Ozan Sayilir
IT & Application Support
Ozan is an IT professional with experience supporting daily operations and ensuring smooth system performance. He focuses on keeping technology reliable and accessible, helping teams resolve issues quickly and maintaining business continuity. At HybriGenix, he contributes to managing IT processes, supporting staff with their technology needs, and making sure systems run securely and efficiently.
